Take Flight

Take Flight – 2016

It’s really moving! Especially because it’s inspired by a true story!

Plot Summary: “1917. Walt has lost his legs in battle, but not his spirit. Recovering in hospital back in the States, he is trapped, and surrounded by tragedy. Only his flirtation with Grace, a nurse on his ward, lightens his frustration. Resolving to escape, he takes flight in a bold bid for freedom. But Walt cannot flee his memories of the incident that cost him his legs. Can Walt change his fate by his reckless escape, or will he be rescued from another tragedy?
– Written by Richard Bridgland”

The House Of Him – 2014

Richard Rankin usually plays nice characters, but he’s scary here!

In this surreal and claustrophobic horror chamber piece, a misogynistic masked killer (Richard Rankin – BBC’s The Crimson Field) prepares for the routine slaying of Anna (Louise Stewart – BBC’s Burnistoun), his 27th victim, in the comfort of his own home. As Anna struggles to break out of the role she’s being forced to play by Him, the dead women behind the walls play a last desperate card.

This startling and unique film was made for less than £1000 and shot over 16 days in Glasgow, and first premiered at Glasgow Film Festival.

For the lifetime of “The House Of Him” on Vimeo On Demand, 10% of each rental and purchase will be donated to women’s aid charities.
