Great news. The Young Vic today announced on Twitter the 2016 season and added a week to Macbeth: 26 November 2015 – 23 January 2016, before it goes on tour in UK!

I immediately waited in their “waiting room” (I was 102 in queue!) and finally got a very good seat for Saturday 23 January matinee!

Since I recently had to take the appointment to renew my driving licence in Italy and they chose the 15 of January (of course!!!), fearing I couldn’t arrive in time for the 16 January matinee in London, I booked for ‪the last week and found already someone who will take the 16Jan ticket. Satisfied…as I told, I can’t miss a perfornan!

It’s never too much for a theatregoer!

What I’ve booked for from September to January. It’s never too much for a theatregoer! I’m so excited, even for “War Horse“, which I saw already!

I’m glad to see Ben Whishaw, Oliver Johnstone and John Heffernan on stage again. Can’t wait to see some others for the first time: Bertie Carvel, Benedict Cumberbatch, Karl Johnson, Dan Parr, Reece Sheersmith, David Morrissey, Sally Messham, Laura Roger, Luke Newberry, Anna Maxwell Martin and others.

I’ve great expectations on the three LGBT plays “The Sum Of Us“, “Tipping The Velvet” and “Teddy Ferrara“, which feature young cast mostly.

And, despite I tried hard to…. resist, I HAD to book for “Macbeth” in January, because since “Oppenheimer” I realized I can’t miss a “perfornan” (aka a John Heffernan’s performance). My notebook is ready for my notes!

Last but not least, I’ve great expectations for 2016: I wish so much one actor announces his next stage role….but, shhht, I can’t talk….(yet).

A bit of Heffernan a day!

Not only he was brilliant reading “Iliad” for the Almeida Theatre and the British Museum on Friday, 14 August 2015, as part of a cast of 60 performers along the day (tweets), talking with his lovely voice and moving hands in his own peculiar, fascinating way (a detail I loved so much in his wonderful “Oppenheimer” performance, too).

John Heffernan was also announced to play the title role in the incoming production of “Macbeth” at the Young Vic Theatre and Anna Maxwell Martin will play Lady Macbeth, from 26 November 2015 to 16 January 2016 http://www.youngvic.org/whats-on/macbeth before transferring to Birmingham REP (26 to 30 January 2016) and HOME in Manchester (Tue 2 – Sat 6 February 2016).

The cast also includes Mark Ebulue, Thomasin Gulgeç, Ira Siobhan Mandela, Ana Beatriz Meireles, Prasanna Puwanarajah & Clemmie Sveaas.

I’m so excited for this news, as Macbeth is one of the greatest play Shakespeare wrote and I would really like to see it with such fine cast! *sighs*
